Maulin V. Shah

Since founding Envision IP in 2009, Maulin has advised innovative companies, investors, and patent owners on protecting, developing, and leveraging intellectual property.

His practice focuses on prosecuting and managing patent and trademark portfolios, providing strategic intellectual property counsel, and delivering intellectual property opinions and technical analyses. Clients rely on him not simply to obtain intellectual property rights, but to help shape long-term business strategy around those assets.

Over the course of his career, Maulin has evaluated patent portfolios ranging from early-stage technology companies to multinational enterprises. He provided expert testimony regarding the value of Eastman Kodak's patent portfolio during the company's bankruptcy proceedings and has advised on patent-driven acquisitions and licensing transactions involving some of the world's leading technology companies.

His analysis and commentary have been cited by The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, and Bloomberg, and he has appeared on CNBC's Fast Money and NPR discussing intellectual property and emerging technologies.

Maulin earned his J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and holds dual B.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering from Duke University.
